Patsy Meyer Music Adventures
Emmy Award- nominated vocalist/percussionist, Patsy Meyer, provides engaging, fun-filled sessions that promote cognitive, physical, and social/emotional learning inside the framework of music and movement. Patsy combines singing, percussion, movement, and music games to enhance student's cross-curriculum learning. She has recently re-located to Cincinnati from LA where she was a teaching artist for the Pacific Arts Center, touring musician, drum circle facilitator, and Music Together teacher.
ARTZ SMARTZ MAGICAL MUSIC ADVENTURE W/ PATSY MEYER

This fun adventure residency is based on content and characters from the award-winning book “Christopher Kazoo and Bongo Boo,” winner of the Mom’s Choice Award and Moonbeam Award. Students experience music, movement, percussion, and animated teaching segments to reinforce basic music concepts: steady beat, rhythm, high/low pitch, loud/soft, tempo, pattern recognition, echo rhythms. Residencies meet grade-appropriate standards for music and dance with cross-curriculum learning in language arts.

Artz Smartz MAGICAL PIRATE ADVENTURE w/ Patsy Meyer

This adventure includes Irish Ike pirate rhythms, Irish Jigs, mime, and friendship treasures while introducing basic music concepts: loud/soft, fast/slow, steady beat, rhythm patterns, tempo, and pitch. Based on content from the award winning-book “Secret of the Purple Stone,” a Mom’s Choice Gold Award Winner, all residencies meet grade-appropriate music and dance standards with cross-curricular integrated learning in math, history, culture, and language arts.

Preschool MUSIC ADVENTURE w/ Ms. Patsy
Curriculum: Dance, Music, Lanuage Arts, Social Emotional Learning, Cultural Connections
Engaging, fun-filled classes that integrate learning and development inside a musical framework. Music and movement support language development, active listening, spatial awareness, numerical literacy, group process, and self-expression. Children will experience the joy of music by singing and playing various instruments, rhymes and finger-plays, small and large movement, dramatic play, and opportunities for creative self-expression. Basic music concepts include fast/slow, loud/soft, steady beat, singing melodies with and without words, stopping, and starting together. Patsy has a preschool teaching certificate and is a trained Music Together teacher since 2008.

Drum Circle Adventure
Curriculum: Music, Social Emotional Learning, Cultrual Connections, Lanuage Arts
In the drum circle, Patsy Meyer will enable your class to experience the art of drumming, creating community, working together within group process, and developing leadership skills. Students will learn about different types of drums and percussion, their timbres, and the ways to play them safely. Student led call and response will increase leadership skills and promote self-expression, creativity, and self-esteem. Using the rhythm of words, names, phrases, and affirmations, we’ll create new rhythms to transfer to the drum. It’s fun with a drum!

WORLD PERCUSSION ADVENTURE w/ Patsy Meyer
Curriculum: D, M, LA, SEL, STEM, CC
Choose a one-day experience or a four-six-day residency. Either will give your students a cultural journey playing various world percussion instruments, singing in other languages, participating in drum circles, movement, and group process with opportunities for creative self-expression, leadership skills, and artistic development. Music concepts are taught through world rhythm patterns, dynamics, pitch, and group singing. This program integrates cross-curriculum learning in math, history, culture, and language arts. Artist will provide drums for all students.
