CODE OF CONDUCT

Fundamental to the values of Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) is a commitment to create and nurture a culture of belonging and to encourage positive community engagement through shared guest experiences. CAA supports community engagement by hosting a wide range of events that reflect our region with diverse perspectives and robust dialogue.

We are dedicated to ensuring our events are entertaining, inclusive, respectful, productive, and harassment-free for everyone and to maintaining an atmosphere where all can enjoy these events. Guests are responsible for their own conduct and behavior. 

While attending an event in one of our venues – Music Hall or the Aronoff Center – guests agree to adhere to the following Code of Conduct so that all guests have a safe and enjoyable shared experience. Guests in violation of this Code may be subject to denial of entry into the venue, ejection without a refund, and/or loss of ticket privileges for future events. 

Code of Conduct:

• Be respectful and courteous to all guests, performers, staff, and volunteers.
• Refrain from using offensive, foul, demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior or speech, including but not limited to insulting and abusive language. Behavior or speech that insults or demeans characteristics is not permitted.
• Respect your fellow guests by occupying your ticketed seat, showing ushers/staff your ticket upon request, and refraining from blocking aisles.
• Enjoy a performance by not interfering with the event or performers. This includes not attempting to access the stage, backstage, or other restricted areas without authorization.
• Comply with requests from venue ushers/staff regarding facility operations and emergency response procedures.
• Abstain from destruction of property including standing on seats, misusing the facility, or throwing objects.
• Consume alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner and in compliance with the law.
• Smoke in designated outdoor areas.

If you witness or are subject to behavior that is disruptive or in violation of the Code of Conduct, please notify a Cincinnati Arts Association staff member.
