MARKETING ASSOCIATE
The Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) is seeking a creative and outgoing individual with a passion for visual storytelling to fill this full-time position. This individual will assist the marketing team with digital marketing initiatives and the creation and project management of a range of unique and compelling digital content (video, photos, copy, etc.); provide administrative support to the marketing and communications team, and assist with a variety of interdepartmental marketing projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Assist with email communications.
• Assist with the management of CAA’s social media channels including monitoring activity, customer service, influencer collaborations, and producing social content and promotions.
• Assist the Digital Marketing Manager and Photographer/Videographer with the management of a content calendar for social media, website, and internal media.
• Assist with project management, including interdepartmental communication to remind them of deadlines, prompt responses to unanswered requests, keep projects moving, etc.
• Assist with video production including brainstorming content, script writing, and managing equipment or talent at video shoots.
• Proof reading press releases, web and social copy, emails, programs, etc.
• Maintain, organize, and restock marketing collateral, including the management and placement of the Aronoff Center’s outdoor kiosk posters at the Aronoff Center.
• Assist with third party promotions, relationship/community marketing, and special events
• Manage event listings on community arts/culture sites (e.g. ArtsWave, Visit Cincy) and social platforms (e.g. Yelp).
• Assist with event settlement preparation
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, Marketing, Theatre or Arts Administration preferred.
• Minimum of 1-3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill and abilities.
• Experience with a variety of social media platforms as marketing tools, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Tik Tok.
• Passion for the arts and culture a plus.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY:
• Meticulous attention to detail, excellent writing skills, and strong proof-reading and copy-editing skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, Social Media Management
• Fundamental graphic design knowledge or skill. Familiarity with Adobe Suite preferred.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at a time with excellent time management skills.
• Ability to take a positive team approach when interfacing with co-workers.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within the department and contribute to group efforts like brainstorming sessions, department meetings, and production shoots.
• Ability to interact equitably with a range of styles and behaviors in a tactful manner.
• Ability to work around unexpected changes of circumstance or workload.
• Ability to work evenings or weekends when needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This is largely a sedentary role; however, this position would require the ability to exert moderate physical effort in work involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects.
