Event Details
Back by popular demand for its 5th Anniversary, David Choate’s Hot Chocolate is Cincinnati’s first and only African American Nutcracker experience—and this year, it’s bigger, bolder, and more breathtaking than ever.
Featuring an all-Black cast of ballet, hip-hop, and contemporary dancers, Hot Chocolate blends classical tradition with Cincinnati spirit. Audiences will be transported through a dazzling winter wonderland where sugar plums dance with grace and soul , the iconic battle scene erupts into a fierce ballroom showdown with vogueing Green Army Men , and the magic of the holidays is reimagined with rhythm, joy, and unapologetic Black excellence.
Created and choreographed by David Choate, Founder of Revolution Dance Theatre, this show has quickly become a Queen City holiday tradition. Whether it’s your first time or your fifth, Hot Chocolate is the sweetest ticket in town.
