Event Details
Jennifer Higdon creates a sonic journey through a sacred space, CSO principals dazzle with Mozart, and carnival-like energy abounds in Petrushka.
Music Director Laureate Louis Langrée returns for a program of soundscapes and storytelling. Jennifer Higdon’s ethereal blue cathedral shimmers with winds, brass and percussion, creating a sonic journey through a sacred space, from peaceful contemplation to ecstatic joy. CSO soloists shine in Mozart’s lively Sinfonia Concertante through an exchange of playful and virtuosic dialogue, then Stravinsky’s Petrushka draws you into the world of a carnival and the tragic love triangle between a clown, a ballerina and her handsome paramour.
