As the region's premier promoter of the arts and entertainment, the Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) promotes life-long engagement in the arts while contributing to individual, organizational, and community wellness. CAA's Education & Community Engagement Department cultivates diverse, inclusive, and accessible arts engagements, seeking to remove barriers preventing arts participation. The Education & Community Engagement Department encourages the use of CAA venues, develops diverse arts supporters, and fosters an appreciation and understanding of diverse arts disciplines, while encouraging and supporting practicing arts educators and administrators, audiences, and aspiring artists.

The Education & Community Engagement Associate is a part-time, seasonal position with flexible days and hours averaging approximately sixteen hours per week. This position will provide administrative, clerical and staffing support for youth and school programs and projects as assigned.


General responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide data entry, registration, mailing, and filing support for all Youth and School Programs. Support the ongoing efforts to develop and maintain relationships with schools and the community to increase audiences served by department programs, using a variety of communication methods (e.g., mailings, email, and face-to-face meetings). Under the guidance of the Vice President and Youth and School Programs Manager, administer Access Services for the department. Assist with community engagement programs as assigned.


The ideal candidate will have an understanding of arts education and community engagement concepts along with a commitment to the arts and arts education. A commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility as key strategies toward broad-based institutional excellence. A proven collaborative work style that facilitates long-term professional relationships. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Self-motivated with strong organizational, time-management, and detailed-oriented skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong computer skills and program adaptability for database, registration, and word processing; experience with ticketing systems a plus. Bachelor’s or Associates degree and a minimum of three years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
