Founder/choreographer Omar Román de Jesús is highly sought-after, having amassed over 20 commissions from companies like Paul Taylor Dance Company, Ballet Hispánico, Pittsburgh Ballet, Charlotte Ballet, and The Juilliard School.Boca Tuya is a collection of the best-of-the-best Contemporary dancers from the major leagues, coming together from Ailey II, Parsons Dance, Backahusdans, Yue Yin Dance Company (part of Mutual's 25-26 season), and Ballet Hispánico (part of Mutual's 22-23 season). de Jesús' choreography combines his own Puerto Rican heritage with classical and contemporary dance in ways that are cinematic, "finely tuned" and "masterful" (The Dance Enthusiast).
