- String Quartet No. 1 – Béla Bartók
- Nordic Folk Music – (arr. by Danish Quartet)
- String Quartet No. 14 in C# Minor, Op. 131 – Ludwig van Beethoven
The Danish Quartet burst onto the classical music scene by winning competitions in Denmark, Norway and Holland. In 2009, it not only won First Prize in the Eleventh London International String Quartet Competition (now the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition), but its performance was so convincing that it was awarded four additional prizes by the same jury: The 20th Century Prize, the Beethoven Prize, the Sidney Griller Award and the Menton Festival Prize. In January 2012, the quartet was appointed to the prestigious Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Two beginning with the 2013-2014 season.
With their technical and interpretive talents matched by an infectious joy for music-making and “rampaging energy” (Alex Ross, The New Yorker),the quartet is in demand worldwide by concert and festival presenters alike. The Danish Quartet received the prestigious Borletti Buitoni Trust in 2016 provided to support outstanding young artists in their international endeavors. Their 2016 debut recording opened at #16 on the Billboard Classical Chart. It received five stars from The Guardian, which praised it as 'an exacting program requiring grace, grit and clarity and the Danish players sound terrific...It’s a sophisticated performance'.
