CINCINNATI PLAYWRIGHTS INITIATIVE - CPI New Voices Series
CPI New Voices Series presents a reading of The Reset by local playwright Ed Clark.
Two down and out playwrights join forces and compete to have their play be the first one produced once Covid restrictions are relaxed. They create a play on the fly about a chef who has Covid, but they begin to lose control of the plot when the chef’s hallucinations spawn a character who may be Covid personified. Lives, loves, egos, and community hang in the balance in a wild and funny drama that meets the moment.
About the Playwright: Ed Clark is a writer and lawyer in Lexington, Kentucky. Ed has been a finalist in the Kentucky Theater Association playwriting competition for his plays Fracked!, The Reset, and SHAME BOMB, the latter receiving a production in 2019. This is his second reading at CPI.
