Dubbed "Performances for Young People," Ballet Hispánico's dance theater experience will take audiences on a guided journey through Latinx dance and culture. This interactive, fun-filled exploration features excerpts of the Ballet Hispánico repertoire narrated by our artistic leadership. Music, cultural connections, choreography insights, and history come together to deepen the audience’s experience of dance. Students are exposed to world-class choreographers and cultural contexts while learning about Latinx icons such as Celia Cruz and Tito Puente. The dance troupe will provide audiences the opportunity to interact with our teaching artists and educators through a live dance session and a Q&A.
Mutual Dance Theatre and the Jefferson James Contemporary Dance Theater Series of Cincinnati present Ballet Hispánico! MDTAC is bringing the American Cultural Treasure to Cincinnati for the enjoyment of audiences and school children. As part of their engagement, MDTAC (a local arts nonprofit) in partnership with the Cincinnati Arts Association are offering a live, in-person performance field trip at the Aronoff Center for the Arts.
