Thursday, March 12, 2021 performance of Childsplay’s The Snowy Day and Other Stories has been postponed.
The Cincinnati Arts Association’s (CAA) Education Department is committed to the health and safety of everyone at the Aronoff Center and Music Hall. This is our top priority. Therefore, we have determined to err on the side of the safety and health of our young guests and staff as it pertains to the performance of ChildsPlay’s The Snowy Day and Other Stories. We will continue to seriously monitor the global COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation, and receive updates from the State of Ohio, The City of Cincinnati and the Centers for Disease Control.
Future performance decisions will be made on a case by case basis.
Childsplay
Based on books by Ezra Jack Keats, winner of the Caldecott Medal
Adapted by Jerome Hairston
Curriculum: English/Language Arts, Theater, Visual Arts
Follow Peter and his friends through winter, spring, summer and fall as they romp and play, start snow ball fights and make snow angels, journey in space and under the sea, and more, all in this imaginative musical play. Using innovative shadow puppetry, The Snowy Day celebrates the magic and boundless possibilities of childhood and the challenges of growing up. Keats’ treasured characters come to life in this humorous and fun adaptation of the collected stories: "Whistle for Willie", "Goggles!", "A Letter to Amy", and "The Snowy Day."
