Textural Rhythms: Hear the Touch

International award-winning jazz entertainer Kathy Wade and the legendary jazz pianist Khalid Moss take the 'art off the walls and onto the stage' through an integrated multi-media musical presentation relaying the stories found within the quilt exhibit by the Women of Color Quilters Network, Textural Rhythms: Constructing the Jazz Tradition. The presentation incorporates the history of jazz and its relationship to the history of our country. Trumpeter Mike Wade, bassist Eric Sayer and drummer Melvin Broach give the show added dazzle in their interpretive playing.
