Tall Tales of a Tall City

In the uniquely American tradition of telling tall tales, Eric Wolf will relate absolutely true stories about New York City and his childhood. This program is designed to introduce students to the genre of tall tales in the storytelling tradition, while covering other issues such as dyslexia, ecology, species extinction, consequences of action, and growing up in a city.

Recommended Ages: Grades 2-12
Maximum Audience: No limit
Length: 1 hour
Cost: $350 first session/$200 each additional
Limit No. Sessions: 4


Technical Needs

  • Artist Arrival: 30 minutes prior to presentation.
  • Organization representative should meet the artist and show him to the presentation area.
  • The artist would like an organization representative to introduce him.
  • Equipment needed by artist: access to electrical outlets (artist has own sound system).
  • Classroom or large gathering space is suitable for this presentation.
