Storytelling Magic

While Christine performs a shadow puppet tale, students discover an enchanting and engaging way to tell stories while learning the secret of the magical colors. Throughout the performance, shadow puppets move and speak to bring the story to life against a magical backdrop of shimmering vivid colors with objects appearing and disappearing. Reminiscent of "campfire" stories, students gather in an intimate setting around a projector to observe the story. Next, they experiment with telling their own stories using clear materials and shapes. The magic of polarization on an overhead projector is used to create colorful vignettes to be enjoyed by all!
