Rhythms. . .Common Bonds captures the lessons of respect by blending music, percussion, singing, poetry and storytelling into a highly interactive performance. Kathy Wade, Maurice Crutcher and Afro-Cuban percussionist Charles Miller draw students into the ‘rhythms of life’, emphasizing our most common bond between all cultures, ‘respect’. Respect. You have to give to gain it!

Available: Tuesdays-Thursdays
Recommended Ages: Grades 4-12
(K-3, if had BAM in past 2 years)
Maximum Audience: No limit
Length: 35-40 minutes
Cost: $575 first session/$500 each additional

Technical Needs

  • Artist Arrival: 45-60 minutes prior to performance.
  • Organization representative should meet the artists and show them to the presentation area.
  • The artists would like an organization representative to introduce them.
  • Audience participation: Yes
  • Four students or adults needed to assist with unloading equipment.
  • Equipment needed by artists:
    • electrical outlet
    • microphone and sound system (The artist can provide a sound system if one is not available.)
  • Minimum amount of space needed for presentation: 20’ x 20’. Please notify if the performance space will be smaller.
  • Please have drinking water available for the artists.
