The Overture Awards Academy ("The Academy") is a day of classes and workshops to help high school students further their artistic development. Typically, The Academy offers three types of classes: Audition/Competition Seminars, Career/College Planning Seminars and Master Classes. It is open to any student in grades 7-12. Parents, teachers and counselors are welcome to attend the Audition/Competition and Career/College Planning Seminars.

Tuition for The Academy will be $10 per attendee (non-refundable).
Audition/Competition Seminars:
- Addresses the question: What are directors, judges, and college programs looking for?
- Gives an overview of The Overture Awards Scholarship Competition process.
Career/College Planning Seminars:
- Seminars and lectures that will provide information about art programs and career paths. Will answer the questions: Where can I go next? What are my options for the future?
- These classes look at the arts from the perspective of professional working artists
Master Classes:
- Offer small group instruction by a working artist in each competition discipline (Creative Writing, Dance, Instrumental Music, Theater, Visual Art, and Vocal Music).
