Technical Information

Cincinnati Music Hall is known the world over for its extraordinary acoustics and lavish world décor. The building was constructed in 1878 with private money raised from what is believed to be the nation's first matching grant fund drives. This venerable facility has been extensively renovated and updated for both patron comforts and stage performance technology. Home to the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Opera, the May Festival and Cincinnati Ballet's The Nutcracker, it is also used throughout the year for corporate functions, touring productions, and awards programs.

Music Hall is managed by Cincinnati Arts Association, which also manages the Aronoff Center for the Arts located downtown.

Ballroom

One of the largest and most versatile event rooms in Cincinnati, the Music Hall Ballroom was fully remodeled in 1998. Incorporating artifacts from the Albee Theater, such as etched mirrors and gold-accented pillars, the result is a grand formal gathering space in the Beaux Arts tradition. The vaulted, coffered ceiling rises to 23 feet above the hardwood floor that turns the entire room into a dance floor. Performances can utilize the state-of-the-art lighting and sound on two new stage areas.
