Music from Scratch

Music from Scratch is designed and presented as a "recipe" in which each ingredient contributes to a whole. The interactive demonstration not only captures young people's minds and imagination with the exciting sounds of percussion instruments from around the world, but demonstrates the common ties amongst people from a multitude of cultures.

Recommended Ages: Grades K-12

Length: 45-50 minutes

Cost: $500 first session/$150 each additional

Limit No. Sessions: 4 (2 back-to-back)

Technical Needs

• Artist Arrival: 1 hour prior to presentation
• Organization representative should meet the artist and show them to the presentation area.
• One adult or 3-6 students needed to assist the artist with unloading equipment.
• The artist would like an organization representative to introduce them.
• There is an optional Question and Answer session as part of the presentation.
• Large gathering space is suitable for this presentation. Minimum amount of space needed for presentation: 12 x 15
• Please provide drinking water for the artist.
