Echoes of Glory, Shades of Pain: The American Civil War

Eric Wolf’s great-granduncles—Jacob Alkire and James Hoffman—fought on opposite sides of the U.S. Civil War. In Echoes of Glory, Shades of Pain, Mr. Wolf recreates his ancestors’ perspectives on life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and depicts personal stories, including "The Battle of Chickamauga"; "Antietam: A Missed Opportunity"; and "The Crater: A Story of Union Incompetence."

Cost: $350 first session/$200 each additional

Technical Needs

  • Artist Arrival: 40 minutes prior to presentation.
  • Organization representative should meet the artist and show him to the presentation area.
  • One person needed to assist with unloading equipment.
  • The artist would like an organization representative to introduce him.
  • Equipment needed by artist: access to electrical outlets (artist has own sound system).
  • Classroom or large gathering space is suitable for this presentation.
