CINCINNATI, OH – The Cincinnati Arts Association is pleased to offer a sneak-peek at its 2010-11 Season with the announcement of two upcoming shows at the Aronoff Center:  John Prine in Concert and It’s a Wonderful Christmas with Michael W. Smith. The full season will be announced on Sunday, September 12.

Some four decades since his remarkable debut, Grammy Award-winner John Prine has stayed at the top of his game, both as a performer and songwriter. Long considered a “songwriter’s songwriter,” John Prine writes the songs other songwriters would sell their souls for, evidenced by the  songwriters who have recorded gems from his extensive catalog, including Johnny Cash, Bonnie Raitt, the Everly Brothers, John Denver, Kris Kristofferson, Ben Harper, Joan Baez and many others.

Smith has inspired millions with his music, drawing hundreds of thousands to his concerts each year.  The Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artist has become one of the most popular holiday performers in the music industry today. The Associated Press calls Smith’s Christmas music “cinematic,” and his new holiday tour will showcase exactly why in an evening that features Smith with a full symphony orchestra performing selections from his acclaimed Christmas albums.

Pre-sale tickets are currently available to the artists’ fan club members, as well as CAA Members and e-Club subscribers.   Tickets go on sale to the general public on Sunday, September 12 at 10:00 AM.
