Spotlight on Members –
Antonio Mũniz-Olán

Antonio is founder, president and CEO of Deerfield Insurance Group, a member of Mũniz & Associates LLC. Established in 2005, this organization is the first and only Latino-owned, independent, full service insurance and financial services organization in the region. By the first quarter of 2007, Muñiz & Associates had become the 22nd fastest growing Nationwide Insurance Agency in the US. In 2010, The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce selected Deerfield Insurance Group as the 2010 Emerging Business of the Year during its 15th Annual Small Business Excellence Awards luncheon, and the Ohio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce picked Antonio as the 2010 Hispanic Businesses Man of the Year.

Antonio is a founding member and past president of the Cincinnati Chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs and past vice president of the Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati USA. Mr. Mũniz-Olán was named to the Cincinnati Business Courier’s Forty Under 40 Class of 2007. Established in 1995, this program is designed to identify and recognize the Tri-State’s up-and-coming business, community and economic leaders for their business accomplishments and their contributions to the community.

Committed to volunteerism and community service, Antonio is a member of the Daymar College Advisory Board, as well as a member of the Cincinnati Arts Association's Board of Trustees and Building Diverse Audiences Advisory Committee. He has also provided hands-on leadership to Su Casa, Cincy Cinco, the YMCA, Butler County Community Alliance, La Voz and Centro de Amistad – who honored him with the 2006 Alma Latina Leadership Award.

Antonio earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA with concentrations in International Business, Marketing and Management from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida.
