Thursday, January 19, 2012

10:00 AM & Noon

Aronoff Center, Jarson-Kaplan Theater

For more than 20 years, Bash the Trash has been the perfect marriage of science, music, and trash! Using the science of sound, they transform recycled and reused stuff into cool and weird musical instruments. Not just a percussion group that plays strange objects, their scientists/musicians have invented and composed for an entire orchestra of unusual musical instruments such as the styrolin, bendjo, bottle flutes, and the notorious straw oboe. Bash the Trash performances thrill students while inspiring creative solutions to environmental issues.
